Instructor: Melissa Lemus
This week-long course explores the Japanese art form of Kintsugi, through 4 different areas of artistic expression: Photography, Digital Art & Animation, 2D- and 3D- Art. Kintsugi is based on the idea that embracing flaws and imperfections can make an object stronger and more beautiful. The technique encourages people to fix rather than discard objects, and to value them as part of their history. Curriculum will be enhanced with a trip to the Morikami Museum and guest presentations.
